At the first Winter Youth Olympic Games 2012 are the following three races, each held for women and men, 6 km sprint for women and 7.5 km sprint for men, a pursuit race over 7.5 km for women and 10 km for men and one mixed relay with two women (both 6 miles) and two men (each 7.5 km).
