A particular highlight of the winter season!

The fact that this year’s Seefeld Snow Festival on 28th Jan. 2012 provides a particular highlight. For years now this has been a not-to-be-missed event in the calendar of thousands of locals and visitors. With parties, music, high spirits and a fantastic atmosphere, this is the place to let your hair down, have fun with friends and live life to the full.

In the pedestrian area, music and a fun-packed programme of activities for children will get the atmosphere going in the afternoon. 7 pm is when the party really gets under way – fantastic music to get you moving will be performed live, of course! Then all you have to do is boogie on down and have fun, fun, fun!

Local restaurateurs will be offering a wide variety of drinks and snacks at the numerous stands and at 11 pm a tremendous firework display will herald the end of the festivities.

And it goes without saying that the traditional snow sculptures will be on show. Countless figures carved out of ice and snow are on display throughout the region. This year too students from the carving schools in Oberammergau, Garmisch and Berchtesgaden will be transforming their creative ideas into artistic sculptures up to 2.5 m high. Spectacularly illuminated on the evening of the Snow Festival, the sculptures will be bathed in a  agical glow. During guided walks to the sculptures in Leutasch and Seefeld, you can find out about the choices of motifs and the carving skills of the artists.

11 pm: Huge firework display
