1st Ganghofer Trail Running Day

The heart of every sportsman beats faster...

The combination of the incredible 266km of running and Nordic Walking routes of the ‘Running & Nordic Walking Arena’ in the Olympic Region Seefeld with the fresh mountain air of the southward facing high plateau at 1,200m above sea level make the heart of every sportsman beat faster. Thirty different routes from mountain runs to a special trial course or the regeneration trail offer ideal training opportunities for every runner.

The runners can choose between two distances, 10km and 21km. The routes have been so chosen as to allow runners of the 21km half-marathon to cut their run short and reach the finish after 10 km. The advantage being that even during the race it is still possible to decide over which distance one actually wants to run.

Refreshment stations will be set up en route, so there is no need to worry about getting thirsty. The Ski Club Leutasch, which has repeatedly proved its organisational competence with the International Ganghofer Run in winter, is partnering the event. During the coming years, we intend to expand the Ganghofer Trail Running Days to a Running Sports Festival, and opportunities for equipment tests, a marathon, and a children’s trophy will ensure that in the future the runners’ hearts beat still faster.
