Leutasch – Energy from nature and people

Pearls of children’s laughter … A strong handshake… Rough country types… Leutasch

A gentle and verdant countryside that is still considered by many to be a secret hideaway, 24 hamlets that stretch across 16 kilometres on the mountain plateau:
This is Leutasch, a draw for everyone who is looking for the untouched Tyrol.

Farming tradition, village culture – embedded in the course of decades: experience the village that is really a valley. Hunting and the ‘Ganghofermuseum’, the ‘tractor spinners’, the pasture paradise of Gaistal and culture in the inn – in Leutasch the tourists experience authentic Tyrolean village life. Always included: unspoiled nature on every doorstep and local ‘personalities’ who always have stories to tell about the good old days.

Leutasch is also a unique vacation paradise for hunting fans: a colourful programme of events related to hunting is on offer in October in the form of the Gaghofer Hubertuswoche in honour of the author and hunter Ludwig Ganghofer, who lived and worked in Leutasch.

Sportsmen and women who like to glide rather than race should try out the endless cross-country trails. In the summertime attractive walking paths lead from easy pasture walks right up to the heights of the mighty summits of the Wetterstein Mountains. The Leutascher Geisterklamm is particularly popular – an experience for the whole family. The family is very important in Leutasch: the programme for the youngest members is always full of surprises – just like the region itself!
