The rustic Alpenglühn mountain restaurant is located in the middle of the idyllic alpine pasture of the Ehrwalder Alm and offers sports enthusiasts delicious refreshments all year round. With a rustic atmosphere including a spacious sun terrace for the summer months from mid-July to mid-October and a rustic wooden restaurant in winter from mid-December. Conclusion: Fabulous mountain views with genuine Tyrolean home cooking from regional production! In winter with direct access to the Ehrwald ski area, in summer with extensive hiking opportunities in the Wetterstein mountains.

LOCATION & STARTING POINT
The access to the Alpenglühn mountain inn is easy and well signposted from the paid car park or the Salzbach bus stop in the Gaistal valley, either on foot or by (e-)bike along wide gravel paths. Alternatively, you can also get there from Ehrwald via the Ehrwalder Alm or bypass the ascent via the Ehrwalder Bergbahn cable car for a fee.

SUMMER TOURS

  • Adlerweg. Summer alpine hike on the famous Tyrolean Adlerweg. Stage 16 takes hikers from Leutasch along the Leutascher Ache river and across flowering alpine meadows through the picturesque Gaistal valley. On the way you pass the Hämmermoosalm, the Gaistalalm and finally the Tillfussalm, where the famous Bavarian writer Ludwig Ganghofer lived and worked. After a hearty snack, the hike continues in the direction of Igelsee and via Gasthof Alpenglühn to Ehrwald.
