The traditional Gasthof Hirschen is known and loved by locals and visitors alike. The landlord, Peter Scholl, is an enthusiastic host and has an array of culinary delights on offer for guests to enjoy after a hard day’s hiking. His good lady, Martina, is on hand to serve the many tasty typical Tyrolean delicacies.
The owners of the family-run Gasthof Hirschen are extremely careful with the products and ingredients they select and as well as produce from their own farm, they like to source regionally and seasonally where possible.
Wednesday is the day to try ‘Blattl’n’, a traditional dish of wafer-thin pastry, deep-fried and served with cabbage. Or come along on Thursday when, over and above what is on the regular menu, you can try oven-fresh ribs served with mustard, garlic bread and cabbage salad.
