This meditative path, which was created in 2000 using erratic boulders from Tyrolean glaciers, starts beside St. Oswald Parish Church and leads past the 14 Stations of the Cross up to the Parish Hill. At the end of the Way of the Cross, the stones, which weigh up to 23 tons each and which have been placed in alignment in accordance with a particular astral constellation, depict the entombment of Jesus Christ. The author Winfried Werner Linde had the idea of creating this wonderful place at the highest point of the Parish Hill as a peaceful meeting point for people of all the world’s religions.
