AND NOW? poses the question of how tourism will continue in the face of the ongoing pandemic and climate change.
Tourism experts have been talking a lot about this topic lately. At the Seefeld Tourism Talks, completely different perspectives are also put up for discussion. The historian Valentin Gröbner from the University of Lucerne will speak about this, asking the question: What is tourism based on and how sustainable can it be? Andreas Reiter from Zukunftsbüro, on the other hand, ventures a look into the future, in which he believes Transformative Travel, Balanced Tourism and Social Pleasure will gain in importance. The well-known sociologist Harald Welzer believes everything could be different. In his opinion, society is undergoing a sustainable transformation of its fabric and this will also have an impact on tourism. And of course there is also the question of what we can learn from the pandemic.
Following their presentations, the experts will discuss with Christian Harisch (hotelier from Kitzbühel, chairman of the tourism association and CEO of the Lanserhof Group) and Markus Webhofer (Managing Partner of the Institute of Brand Logic).
