5° / 20° CGiant hogweed, Himlayan balsam and Buddleja have something in common: they are neophytes - plants that have been introduced worldwide by humans. Now they can also be found in our country and can be found in many gardens. Konrad Pagitz, head of the Competence Centre Neophytes in Tyrol, gives insights into the situation of neophytes, with a special focus on the western and southern Karwendel. He also reports on possibilities of containment.
