Innsbruck: get to know the capital of Tyrol
Our state-certified Austria Guides will take you on an exciting tour of the Tyrolean capital. The day starts with a breath-taking train ride from Seefeld to Innsbruck on Austria’s highest line. On arriving, you then have a walk of around 2 hours during which you will discover much about the city’s impressive history. You will see the Triumphal Arch, the main square – Landhausplatz - and stroll along the Maria-Theresien pedestrian street, finishing off with a walk through the late-medieval streets and lanes of Innsbruck’s old town.
The nearby bridge over the river Inn – which gives the city its name – is the perfect photo opportunity with the imposing Nordkette range in the background. Those who wish to stay longer in Innsbruck can explore some more on their own and for everyone else, it’s back to the railway station to catch the Karwendel train back to “Tyrol’s High Plateau“.
