Herbert Pixner Projekt – Tour Finale | 25.11.2017, LEUTASCH
Energy, excitement, improvisation and a good helping of blood, sweat and tears: that’s the mixture that the “Herbert Pixner Projekt” has used for years to delight their public. Intelligent and authentic music played with skilful joy by the South Tyrolean multi-instrumentalists draws the audience under their spell. The Herbert Pixner Projekt don’t know the meaning of blinkers or stereotypes: tango or jazz, blues or country – the remarkable compositions draw the most varied strands and styles of music together.

Romantic Advent Market in the Seefeld Pedestrian Area | 01.12.2017 – 07.01.2018
The Seefeld Advent Market offers the enjoyable chance to wander through a pedestrian area filled with rustic Tyrolean log cabins. Visitors have the choice of culinary delights through to regional handicrafts, with a background of choirs and brass band music – all of it authentic and genuine. Children will love the thrill of the tobogganing hill in the middle of the market activities, can take part in the sleigh rides specially organised for the little ones or can write to the Christ Child at the Angels’ Post Office (Fri-Sun). Meanwhile folk musicians help bring the Advent atmosphere into the local inns and restaurants.

Leutasch Chapel Advent | 01.12. – 23.12.2017, LEUTASCH
The Leutasch Chapel Walks, led by Monika and Hans Neuner, are a very special part of the local Advent period. Helped by musical accompaniment from choirs or brass bands, the 20 Leutasch chapels will be visited on foot by torchlight with atmospheric explanations of the history and traditions of the buildings. The evening is rounded off by a visit to a nearby inn with delicacies from the pages of grandmother’s cookbook and the chance for a chat with friends old and new.

Leutasch Cross-Country Ski Opening - 15 - 17.12.2017, LEUTASCH
Full-day courses in classic and skating styles for beginners through to advanced, video analysis and waxing demonstrations from well-known manufacturers such as Swix and Toko - all this is on offer to make the keen skier's pulse race a little bit faster. The training squad is made up of nationally-qualified cross-country instructors as well as World Cup racers and national and regional champions. Testing stations from companies such as Atomic, Exel, Salomon, Rossignol, KV+, Leki, Swix, Toko and Fischer complete the wide variety of options available. More information:

Seefeld Snow Festival | 20.01.2018, SEEFELD
It’s that time of year again, when names from the creative art world and students from the famous colleges of timber and design in Garmisch, Berchtesgaden and Oberammergau start to gather in the region and draw hundreds of visitors to watch their handiwork with larger-than-life snow and ice sculptures. The spectacular event also hosts original attractions for the whole family. Seasonal market games wait for players to try their luck while the Seefeld restaurant and cafés offer tempting delicacies for those with a rumbling stomach. The Snow Festival Party takes place in the evening with hot live music and cool drinks.

Ring in the Mountain Christmas with Star Guest Hansi Hinterseer | 12. – 14.12.2017, SEEFELD
Hundreds of music fans flock to the region every year from all over the world to experience the atmosphere of the varied programme at the Christmas Festival. The romantic torchlit walk to the mystical stone circle on the hill behind the Seefeld church (12.12, 17.00) sets the scene at the start of the Seefeld Advent Market before Saso Avsenik & his Oberkrainer thrill their fans with a passionate performance of the music from the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia on 13.12 in the WM-Halle. Those who want to meet the seven young musicians can find them at 16.00 at a Meet & Greet in the Casino Seefeld. The programme’s climax is reached at the Christmas gala on December 14. A special concert experience is guaranteed with the sounds of the Trenkwalder, the duo Harfonie and none less than superstar Hansi Hinterseer. This quietest time of the year will be marked as the music on offer is interspersed with seasonal contemplative readings by radio favourite Ingo Rotter.

3rd Kaiser Maximilian Race | 13. – 14.01.2018, SEEFELD
The Kaiser Maximilian race in Seefeld is a cross-country skiing event at the highest level of the sport set in the heart of the Tyrolean Alps. The pro-am race, part of the VISMA SKI CLASSIC series, takes place for the third time in 2018 after two successful previous years. Saturday is for the classic style while on Sunday the fans of skating have their turn on the trails around the region. The trails run from Seefeld via Mösern and Unterleutasch and eventually return to Seefeld after distances of 30 or 60 km.

5th FIS World Cup Nordic Combined Triple | 26. – 28.01.2018, SEEFELD
In January 2018 thousands of excited fans will once again make their pilgrimage to the Mecca of Nordic sports that is Seefeld. The Nordic Combined Triple competition with its new format guarantees a special tension: on Friday and Saturday the athletes each complete a jump and a cross-country distance of 5 or 10km. On Sunday, the best 30 in the competition complete two jumps and the final race over 15km. Whoever wins on Sunday is the overall winner with double prize money, double World Cup points and a special award.

8th Seefeld Crystal Magic with Gregor Glanz | 01. – 03.02.2018, SEEFELD
The successful Seefeld artist Gregor Glanz has already wowed the public in Bernhard Paul’s “Wintergarten Varieté” in Düsseldorf with over a hundred successful Las Vegas shows. He is throwing his energy behind his home area for the 8th time: the much-loved Ziesel Fun Race makes the star competitors sweat despite the cold, while the traditional meal of dumplings takes place in the Hotel Astoria, sensationally renovated by the Grande Dame of Austrian hotels, Elisabeth Gürtler. The climax of the weekend is the open-air concert in the Kurpark with a line-up that would grace any large festival (artist details will be available at a later point). The renowned After Show Party takes place in the popular “Kännchen”.

48th Euroloppet Ganghofer Race | 03. – 04.03.2018, LEUTASCH
More than 2000 athletes are expected when the International Ganghofer Race takes place in the Leutasch valley. It is the oldest cross-country ski marathon race in the Tyrol. Four different disciplines are on offer for the competitors: 20km or 42km skating and 25km or 50km in the classic style. The classic disciplines (25 & 50km) and the Mini-Ganghofer race take place on Saturday. The Sunday is when the skating competitors take to the trails. Demanding trails and an especially lovely setting are included with all distances! The Mini-Ganghofer race again schedules heaps of fun and competition from toddlers through to youth ages. The supporting programme with wax service, equipment tests and free entry to the Erlebniswelt Alpenbad Leutasch is also worth a look. The International Ganghofer Race in Leutasch is an official Euroloppet, Austrialoppet and FIS race.
