Genuine and full of life with a sporting energy - the events in the Olympiaregion Seefeld winter wonderland offer something for everyone.


Romantic Christmas Market in the Seefeld Pedestrian Area | 30.11.2018 – 06.01.2019 | SEEFELD
The Seefeld Christmas Market offers the enjoyable chance to wander through a pedestrian area filled with rustic Tyrolean log cabins. Visitors have the choice of culinary delights through to regional handicrafts, with a background of choirs and brass band music – all of it authentic and genuine. Children will love the thrill of the tobogganing hill in the middle of the market activities, can take part in the sleigh rides specially organised for the little ones or can write to the Christ Child at the Angels’ Post Office (Fri-Sun). Meanwhile folk musicians help bring the Advent atmosphere into the local inns and restaurants.


Leutasch Chapel Advent | 30.11. – 22.12.2018, at 5 pm | LEUTASCH
The Leutasch Chapel Walks, led by Monika and Hans Neuner, are a very special part of the local Advent period. Helped by musical accompaniment from choirs or brass bands, the 20 Leutasch chapels will be visited on foot by torchlight with atmospheric explanations of the history and traditions of the buildings. The evening is rounded off by a visit to a nearby inn with delicacies from the pages of grandmother’s cookbook and the chance for a chat with friends old and new.


Seefelder “Krampus” parade | 30.11.2018, from 7 pm | SEEFELD
A shower runs down the backs of the spectators of the mystical spectacle: 15 different Krampus groups from all over Austria populate the pedestrian area around the Christmas market from 19.00 - 20.30 o'clock. With their hand-carved, fearsome masks and impressive choreography, they reinterpret ancient traditions. A gruesome-beautiful experience, which should not be missed. "Zillertaler Christmas" | 09.12.2018, 7.30 pm | LEUTASCH
Family music of the finest, contemplative in the calmest time of the year, this is how the Zellberg Buam and the Fetzig´n from the Zillertal interpret their Christmas tour taking place already for many years across completely Austria. With quiet sounds on the harp, violin, Styrian harmonica, guitar and double bass as well as unique singing, the two groups put your listener in a pre-Christmas mood. The parish church in Oberleutasch offers the perfect venue with very little technology, almost only natural voices. Many new titles of the two groups round off the unique program of the Zellberg Buam and Fetzig´n from the Zillertal and make the concert an unforgettable evening. Details:


Musical Mountain Christmas with Star Guests Kastelruther Spatzen | 11. – 13.12.2018 | SEEFELD
THE musical highlight during the Romantic Advent in the Olympiaregion Seefeld! Between 11th and 13th December 2018 the “Musical Mountain Christmas” event will be taking place for the 9th time in the Olympiaregion Seefeld. Enjoy a romantic atmosphere of the Advent Market during the welcome evening inmidst the winter world Seefeld. On 12th December a Christmas Concert with Hermann Delago and the orchestra “Stadtmusik Landeck-Perjen” , can be enjoyed at the WM hall Seefeld, 8:00 pm. On 13th December at the Christmas Gala the band “Kastelruther Spatzen” will enchant with their best beloved Christmas songs at the WM hall Seefeld, 8:00 pm.


20th Leutasch Cross-Country Ski Opening | 14 - 16.12.2018 | LEUTASCH
Sport Wedl organises again the event for your perfect start into the cross-country skiing season. Full-day courses in classic and skating styles for beginners through to advanced, video analysis and waxing demonstrations from well-known manufacturers such as Swix and Toko - all this is on offer to make the keen skier's pulse race a little bit faster. Crip exihibition I 15. – 16.12.2018 | SEEFELD
Due to the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Krippenverein Seefeld, a crib exhibition will take place on Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th of December 2018 from 10 am to 6 pm. Food and drink will be provided. On Sunday 1 crib will be raffled. Venue: Sports and Congress Centre


43rd European Senior Open | 11. – 26.01.2019 | SEEFELD
A highlight for all tennis enthusiasts! Around 600 participants from around 30 nations are expected to take part in the two event weeks of the European Senior Indoor Tennis Championship, which is considered to be the largest in Europe. The tennis club Seefeld offers also again a great supporting program. Besides the Casino-Night and the traditional Players-Night with live music the honors of the longtime players will take place. 4th Kaiser Maximilian Lauf | 12. – 13.01.2018 | SEEFELD & LEUTASCH
The Kaiser Maximilian race in Seefeld is a cross-country skiing event at the highest level of the sport set in the heart of the Tyrolean Alps. The pro-am race, part of the VISMA SKI CLASSIC series, takes place for the third time in 2018 after two successful previous years. Saturday is for the classic style while on Sunday the fans of skating have their turn on the trails around the region. The trails run from Seefeld via Mösern and Unterleutasch and eventually return to Seefeld after distances of 30 or 60 km.

Seefeld Snow Festival | 19.01.2019, 11 am | SEEFELD
It’s that time of year again, when names from the creative art world and students from the famous colleges of timber and design in Garmisch, Berchtesgaden and Oberammergau start to gather in the region and draw hundreds of visitors to watch their handiwork with larger-than-life snow and ice sculptures. The spectacular event also hosts original attractions for the whole family. Seasonal market games wait for players to try their luck while the Seefeld restaurant and cafés offer tempting delicacies for those with a rumbling stomach. The Snow Festival Party takes place in the evening with hot live music and cool drinks.


Guided Sculpture Hike | Thursday, 17.01.2019 | SEEFELD & LEUTASCH
Those wishing to gain an insight into the choice of motifs for "Nordic Ski-WCS" and craftsmanship will receive impressive information during the guided hikes in Leutasch or Seefeld on 17th January 2019 from 5 pm. The carving students and teachers reveal interesting facts about the creation of the figures.

Seefeld Crystal Magic with Gregor Glanz | 08. – 09.02.2018 | SEEFELD
The successful Seefeld artist Gregor Glanz has already wowed the public in Bernhard Paul’s “Wintergarten Varieté” in Düsseldorf with over a hundred successful Las Vegas shows. The climax of the weekend is the open-air concert in the Kurpark with a line-up that would grace any large festival (artist details will be available at a later point). The renowned After Show Party takes place in the popular “Kännchen”.


FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 | 19.02.2019 - 03.03.2019 | SEEFELD & INNSBRUCK
"HAND IN HAND" is the motto of the Nordic Hotspot Seefeld, which will organize the Nordic World Championship together with Innsbruck. Three Olympic fires have already been lit in the Olympiaregion Seefeld in Tyrol, which was the venue for the Nordic disciplines during the Olympic Winter Games in 1964, 1976 and the Youth Olympic Winter Games in 2012. Around 700 athletes will be competing for the coveted medals in Seefeld and at the historic Bergisel in Innsbruck in 21 competitions. Competition programme & information at:

Saturday, 09.03.: 9 am start 25 & 50 km Classic | 1 pm start MINI Ganghoferlauf

Sunday, 10.03.: 9.30 am Start 20 km Skating | 10 am Start 42 km Skating
Over 2000 athletes are expected when the Int. Euroloppet Ganghoferlauf takes place in Leutasch, Tyrol's oldest cross-country marathon, in the Leutaschtal valley. Four different disciplines are available to athletes: 20 km or 42 km skating and 25 km or 50 km classic. Demanding routes and particularly beautiful landscape experiences are always included in all distances. At the Mini-Ganghoferlauf a lot of fun and excitement from the dwarf to the youth is the order of the day again. Prices & Information:
