SDG 13 “Climate Action focuses on strategies for slowing down climate change as well as for adapting to the effects of climate change. Our projects aim to contribute to slowing down the process by reducing greenhouse gases.
With three railway stations and even an ICE connection, the Seefeld plateau is more easily accessible by public transport than many other resorts in the alpine region. We aim to utilise this fortunate position and integrate the use of public transport into our local offers.
Synergy with SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities & Communities)
The Tourist Board is aiming for a rapid changeover to e-mobility on the plateau. Our own vehicles are already largely electric and electric buses and cross-country ski trail preparing machines should follow soon. We are also committed to increasing the number of charging network points in the region (see Downloads).
Synergy with SDG 7 (Affordable & Clean Energy), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure)
To avoid any confusion about what is and is not “green”, we strive to use real green energy via photovoltaics, wind power or small hydro-electric plants (see Downloads). The Tourist Board also aims to expand the use of PV systems in the sunny Seefeld region.
Synergy with SDG 7 (Affordable & Clean Energy), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure)
In order to make climate protection possible in a business, you first have to know how you are harming the climate. A carbon footprint survey, as suggested by the Tourist Board, can show you how to implement concrete changes and run a more climate-friendly operation
Synergy with SDG 7 (Affordable & Clean Energy), SDG 8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption & Production)
The Seefeld plateau is rich in game - high-quality meat associated with low CO2 emissions (see "lead-free venison" project). We want to promote the use of local fish and an increase in vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menus in local establishments.
Synergy with SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption & Production), SDG 15 (Life on Land)
