Sunny-2° / 18° CDetails & further outlook
All mountain lifts throughout the country had their last day of operation on Sunday, 15 March 2020. Accommodation providers (hotels, holiday apartments, private rooms, etc.) closed on Monday, 16 March 2020.
The nationwide traffic restrictions for all citizens apply until Monday, 13 April 2020.
According to the decree of LH Günter Platter, all 279 Tyrolean communities are now quarantined until 13 April 2020 inclusive.
"Tyrol isolates itself. This means that the community may only be left when it is necessary to cover basic needs or to provide services of general interest - and then only to the nearest town. Commuting to and from work is still permitted even across community boundaries. If there is a doctor, a pharmacy, a grocery store and a bank in the village, the community may not be left for these purposes.
A further measure is that Tyrol distances itself from its neighbours. It means that only those who are at home in Tyrol or who work in the critical infrastructure or supply can enter Tyrol. The movement of goods is permitted under certain conditions."
Innsbruck Airport will be closed from Monday, 23 March 2020 until further notice.
What is now needed in the province of Tyrol is personal responsibility, solidarity and cohesion. These extensive measures are carried out in close coordination with the provincial authorities and Tirol's tourism industry. The health and safety of the Tirolean population, the employees of the country's tourist businesses and guests from all over the world is a top priority.
