Enjoying the landscape with others: the Seefeld Tourist Office and the International Marching League (IML) expect plenty of enthusiastic walkers for the 19th 3-day Unicorn Walks with the slogan "Nos iungat ambulare" (hiking unites us).
The Olympiaregion Seefeld will be a hiking hotspot for walkers from all over the world from 14 - 16.09.2018. At the end, medals, certificates and master walker awards will be presented to the hikers in the Festhalle Wetterstein.
The special location on a sunny plateau at more than 1200m and the roughly 650 mountain and hiking kilometres of trails transform the region into a true walking Eldorado. There is a hiking highlight set in the middle of this idyll which has become a worldwide tradition: the 19th 3-day Unicorn Walks.
With start and finish in Leutasch, the walks lead the expected 2,000 participants past the most beautiful spots in the region. They will experience the unique landscapes, cosy refreshment stops and the welcoming hosts which help make this global phenomenon an unforgettable highlight, combining fun and team spirit. What counts is the joy of movement, not the time taken to do it. The Festhalle Wetterstein offers space and time for a convivial get-together with food, drink and music each day at the end of the event.
Over rough and smooth
It is possible to cover up to 42km per day, but participants can also choose shorter distances. For example, there is a choice of a 10 km, 20 km, 30 km or 42 km route to tempt you to discover the most beautiful places in the region. Past lovely streams, blooming meadows and forests, the routes of the 3-day Unicorn Walks will leave a special impression. The participants can choose flatter hikes or demanding tours each day.
Music and entertainment at the end of the day
Three days of hiking and sporting achievement! At the end of each day that will be celebrated in the Festhalle Wetterstein near the Erlebniswelt Alpenbad Leutasch. From 14.00 every day there will be an entertainment programme suitable for all ages!
