Living in the Olympiaregion Seefeld: How long have you already been living here or what brought you here? What makes the Olympiaregion so special for you / your family?
Our family has been running the Hotel Klosterbräu****** & SPA for more than 200 years. We, as the sixth generation, see the hotel as our home. We love being active outdoors – both privately and together with our guests – and to be honest, I don’t know any other region in Europe that is quite so attractive and charming all year through.
Each of our partner-hotels for WSC-athletes in the area is unique: How would you describe the philosophy which brought you to this point and which distinguishes you from other hotels?
We like above all the direct contact with people and our heart beats for our family led hotel in 3rd generation. We are a tight-knit family offering genuine hospitality, sincerity and a warm welcome. That’s what we stand for and what distinguishes us from all the others and what our guests really get to feel and appreciate. We love what we do and what we do is dear to our hearts.
Are there any personal memories of the last FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 1985 that you / your family could share with us? Did this event change or create new ambitions for Nordic ski sport?
The last event had a huge impact on the region and was a major boost for the area. We are extremely proud to be hosting the next WSC 2019 and are really looking forward to the event and to all that it brings – there is a real spirit of optimism among locals and businesses alike.
What are you looking forward to while hosting the top WSC 2019 athletes in your hotel?
As well as looking after the athletes, it’s important for us to make sure that our regular guests have the chance to reserve their preferred rooms for the event. We want to inspire them and, through the media, the rest of the world too.
