Construction site status quo

Fantastic weather has marked the start of the new 2018 summer season. What could be more wonderful than to pause for a while in this wonderful natural setting? Whether hiking, e-biking, getting into shape for running or simply wandering and exploring the landscape - here on the plateau every day on holiday turns into a little adventure.

In the meantime, what is the situation with the World Cup construction sites?

The construction industry probably looks a little bit like nature taking its own course to an outsider: unexpected weather can make life on the construction sites more difficult, delivery problems are not uncommon, and any unforeseen hiccups can bring sweat to the brow. Nevertheless, by the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld, everything will be ready and operational.

The seeds are growing and thriving, and the greening work is bearing fruit In the WSC-competition- arena. The network of cross-country ski trails is also slowly turning "green" and piques curiosity about the ingenious world championship courses.

The shell of the Technical Centre will be completed by the end of July. It awaits the introduction of the first snow containers "Snow 4ever" from the Seefeld Tourist Board (TVB) - they will go into operation at the end of September. The piste machines will also have a suitable parking space here.

WM-Halle: The last structural works and final touching up on the outer facade are currently being carried out and the new wooden look fits into the landscape perfectly. Sustainability is a top priority.

The Japanese football team inaugurated the new volunteer centre in time for the 2018 World Cup. At this point we would like to say: "Good luck or счастья to all teams in Russia!"

The Seekirchl is also a busy place. Before the stream bed can be extended, the canal water pipes and lighting fixtures of the night cross-country track must be installed. This unique "Medal Plaza" will be a worthy place for the medal awards!

At the Gschwandtkopf the filling of the storage pond has started again: the pond holds 100,000 m³ of water and this process takes 5 weeks if the maximum filling capacity is used. The new Seefeld benches, currently being lovingly put into position by the Bauhof workers, will turn a tour into an adventure walk with a unique panoramic view: the Hohe Munde is within reach!

Enjoy your personal exploration tour!
