After some welcome words of Dr. Klaus Leistner (ÖSV General Secretary & Managing Director Seefeld 2019), Stefan Krauß (Director Wintersport Infront), FIS General Secretary Sarah Lewis and Christian Scherer (Organising Director for the FIS Nordic Ski World Championships 2019) to the participating broadcasters, - Austria (ORF), Germany (ARD/ZDF), Norway (NRK), Finland (YLE), Switzerland (SRG/SSR), Sweden (SVT) and Estonia (EESTI MEDIA), Eurosport - intense working meetings were held. The seminar’s agenda included the following themes: the equipment of the media & broadcast centre; handling of the medal ceremonies; the side programme of events around the medal plaza and in the Seefeld pedestrian area; facilities and technical details on hand; locations and camera positions.
Historic images and recordings from the archives gave an impressive look back at the Olympic and World Cup hosting experience of Seefeld. This was followed by a walk through the World Championship locations in Seefeld and at the Bergisel in Innsbruck. The competition sites could be inspected at first hand by the TV representatives, in order to provide the best possible images to beam around the world to the watching public.
The second day of the seminar went into more detailed questions, discussions on issues raised and individual queries.
The representatives of the local organising committee Seefeld 2019 (Werner Frießer, Seefeld mayor / Robert Frießer, Seefeld Casino director / Elias Walser, Seefeld Tourist Office director) were on hand both days to provide the answers to any questions.
