Route: Scharnitz - Gleirschhöhe – Valley Gleirschtal – Gleirscher Riegelkar – Hoher Gleirsch – Sagkopf – Scharnitz
Total time: approx. 8 hours in combination with the bike

The local mountain of Scharnitz offers you a wonderful view over all peaks and valleys of the western Karwendel. Another option would be to combine mountain biking and mountaineering with each other and to cycle as far as the official saw (unmanaged). So you save a not inconsiderable amount of walking time! From the information centre in the direction of Isarlodge Wiesenhof. Follow the forest road to Gleirschhöhe, keep right and cross the Gleirschtal via the so-called Krapfen. Then turn left to the office saw (unmanaged). Here you can park your bike and follow a narrow forest road. Continue on the marked path to the Hohe Gleirsch. The same way back to the starting point.
