Light installations - Lichterpark Seefeld
From the 1st November 2024 to the 6th January 2025, the Kurpark Seefeld will shine in magical light every day from 16:00 - 22:00 with artistic installations: Stars twinkle in the trees, the casino tower glitters festively and a luminous whale swims its rounds in the pond, while just a few metres away you can try your hand at the interactive game "Match 4".
As the Christmas market in the historic town centre is also just around the corner, you can take a particularly pleasant stroll through snow-covered Seefeld. And because the delicacies, shops and stalls up here are so inviting to taste, the use of the buses and regional train is highly recommended.
Careful handling of light emissions, a long service life for the LED lighting fixtures used and low energy consumption were given priority in the implementation of the project.

Art That connects
Wings
By now, the motifs of bird or angel wings adorn walls all over the world. The murals are intended to convey the message that all inhabitants of the earth are equal – regardless of skin color, origin, or religion.
For the Lichterpark Seefeld, the artist collective NOA now brings these wings to life, inviting visitors to become part of the art installation, to capture it photographically, and to share the message interactively with the world.

Tears of hope
Ice Pearls
In the area where the Wildsee is located today, there once stood a single small wooden house, inhabited by a young widow. She was poor and helpless, sitting in front of her house every morning, shedding tear after tear. Her tears froze into tiny ice pearls and rolled to the ground. Just when the widow had lost all hope, an angel appeared and granted her dearest wish. At that moment, all her shed tears flowed out of the ground and flooded the valley, where the Wildsee then formed.
The Ice Pearls installation in the Lichterpark is intended to remind people that one should never lose hope in their dearest wish.

Infinite Reflections
Mirror Eyes
With the help of Mirror Eyes, the Lichterpark Seefeld suddenly appears in an infinite, recurring repetition. Visitors are opened up to a fairy-tale world that reflects into infinity.
Looking through the kaleidoscopes, both young and old are transported into a world where reality and fantasy merge. Thus, children and adults have the opportunity to rediscover the Lichterpark through the mirror of the elements.

a glowing game of togetherness
Connect Four
A playground for young and old: Awaken the child within you, develop strategies, laugh, and play Connect Four under the open sky – digitally and interactively.
The player who first aligns four light points of their color wins. With the help of your feet, you can throw the light stones to the desired spot.

Sea Waves of Sound
The Magical Whale
With this whale, the designer has created a piece that is active yet dynamic. A whale is never static; it moves gently and gracefully through the seas and is often seen as a symbol of motherhood, peace, harmony, and communication. Whales have an excellent sense of hearing and can communicate with each other over hundreds of kilometers. Immerse yourself in the underwater world of whales and enjoy our unique Sound to Light Show, where the magical whale takes center stage.
