Biathlon

Biathlon has a fixed place in the list of winter sports activities in the Olympiaregion Seefeld as a winter duel between cross-country skiing and sport shooting. Under optimal conditions at 1,200 metres above sea level, the spacious biathlon facilities on the Seefeld high plateau offer unique opportunities to combine endurance and concentration in sports under optimal conditions. With 30 small-calibre shooting ranges, the competition facilities were set up at Olympic level and used for the 2012 Winter Youth Games. There are also five additional shooting ranges for airguns.

Over 250 kilometres of perfectly groomed cross-country trails of all levels of difficulty lead from the facility through the entire region and offer the best training conditions in a breathtaking natural landscape. With sustainable snowfarming, the facilities and trails can be prepared and made available to the public as early as the beginning of November. The new 3.6 km long roller ski run (outer loop) can be extended in length and demand and offers attractive training possibilities for biathlon enthusiasts even in the summer months.

The spacious facilities have long been popular not only with world champions, Olympic athletes and professional athletes, but also with amateur athletes and day-trippers alike.
