On our dog-friendly trails, you and your four-legged companion can enjoy the peaceful nature, wander through snow-covered forests, and share unforgettable moments together. Please observe the rules of conduct to ensure a harmonious experience for everyone.
No salt is used to grit the hiking trails, but grit may be applied on icy or steep sections. To protect your dog's paws in winter, consider using creams, care products, and, if necessary, special dog shoes.
1. Winter Idyll at the Snow-Covered Lake Möserer See
This 3.5 km circular hike starts at the Mösern Information Office and leads through snow-covered forests to the idyllic lake Möserer See. The well-maintained path offers a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for dogs. Gentle ascents and shaded sections make for a pleasant and varied hiking experience. Along the way, the Möserer Seestub’n is a welcoming spot for a cozy break.

General Dog Rules
- Leash Requirement: There is a leash requirement throughout the region, both on hiking trails and in open terrain – exception: Dog area (off-leash) in Leutasch
- Disposing of Dog Waste: Please collect dog waste in a bag and dispose of it in designated bins. Free dog waste bag dispensers and trash bins are available throughout the region
- Muzzle Requirement: Dogs must wear a muzzle on public transport and in enclosed mountain cable cars, such as the Rosshütte Cable Cars
- Path Rules: Please stay on designated paths to protect the vegetation and prevent erosion. Dogs should always be under control and kept on a short leash, ensuring that they approach other people or animals calmly
