Naturschutzgebiet Wildmoos, 6410 Telfs
Alpine pastures & huts
Easily accessible alpine pastures & huts
The rustic restaurant, the Wildmoosalm, is located on a beautiful little plateau and is easily reachable on foot from Seefeld. You can sit on the sun terrace and take in the fabulous countryside while enjoying some home-made apple strudel served by the host himself. As well as an array of traditional desserts ‘like grandma used to make‘, the menu also offers plenty of hearty Tyrolean fare from a ’Brettljausn’ (mixed platter) to freshly-caught trout.
The Wildmoosalm is surrounded by lush meadows and gorgeous scenery and there is a rare natural phenomenon not too far away for you to visit - the aperiodic lake, the Wildmoossee, which only appears every few years. In winter, a picturesque cross-country trail leads directly past this charming Alm and in summer, there are hiking and biking trails aplenty. You can lock up and leave your bike at the Alm and there is also a charging point for e-bikes (please bring your own charger).
LOCATION & STARTING POINT
The Wildmoosalm is easily accessible from the historic village center in Seefeld with a leisurely walk on different paths. Alternatively, you can also master the access road with the (e-)bike, from 5 p.m. access by car is also allowed
