Cross-border analysis of the labor shortage in the tourism sector

The acute shortage of skilled workers and employees poses immense challenges for the tourism industry in the border region and the economic sectors associated with it. Together with our project partners of the Zugspitz Region GmbH, the TVB Tiroler Zugspitz Arena and the TVB Naturparkregion Reutte, we from the Seefeld Tourism Association are trying to systematically counteract these precarious developments. The cross-border approach is necessary because the larger project area with the same problem also ensures better visibility on the employee market. Among other things, an image improvement for jobs in tourism is to be brought about with the goal of keeping employees in the region, recruiting new ones and retaining them in the long term. The basis for this is a comprehensive analysis of the shortage of labor with the derivation of recommendations for action, which is to be carried out by this project. Output is the cross-border analysis of the labor shortage in tourism with the derivation of recommendations for action.
