Organ concert with Filippo Manci in the parish church of Seefeld at 8:30 p.m.
The organ is considered the most versatile musical instrument and is often referred to as the "king of instruments." Many famous composers such as Bach, Mozart, and Mendelssohn have created great works for this instrument. The organ is not only played solo but also in combination with orchestras, while the piano later took on a similar role. For example, Bach arranged several concertos by Vivaldi for organ. Other composers have also adapted operatic melodies by Verdi, Puccini, and Rossini specifically for the organ. In modern times, music has evolved and influenced cinema. Great composers like John Williams and Ennio Morricone have created unforgettable melodies for films.
In this context, Filippo Manci has arranged several film compositions for organ in recent years, seeking the orchestral sounds of the "king of instruments."
The following program will be performed:
* J. S. Bach: Prelude and Fugue in C Major BWV 545
* M. Norman: Doctor No - 007
* J. Williams: Raiders March
* J. Strauss: Voci di Primavera - waltz
* G. Verdi: Va pensiero
* G. Rossini: Il signor Bruschino - sinfonia
