Traditional, hospitable, Tyrolean: these are the values that have turned us into the largest family of hoteliers in Austria – and we still live them today.
The Batzenhäusl is where it all started. In 1962, the 19-year-old Fritz Kaltschmid takes over the inn and lays the foundation for one of the most successful family enterprises in Austria.
Only five years later, he buys the hotel Hohe Munde and the dancing bar Tenne. He wanted to offer his guests a place for dancing and celebrating. Today, the Tenne is a famous and popular club in Seefeld. The former hotel Hohe Munde is the Ferienhotel Kaltschmid today.
In order to have the fitting offer for every guest, the Kaltschmid family has opened further hotels in the course of the years. Some are specialized on the wishes and needs of families, others are perfect for romantic holidays for couples, others again offer low-budget holidays, wellness or even holidays with the dog.
We are now running eight hotels in Seefeld. The focus is always the well-being of our guests!
