We offer families with seriously ill children a unique retreat to rest, recharge, and spend precious time together. The hotel atmosphere is a core element of our concept, allowing families to experience what is often their first real holiday together.

Development milestones
- 2012 – Foundation of the non-profit association Kinder- und Jugendhospizarbeit, which operates Arche Herzensbrücken
- 2015 – First affected families welcomed
- From 2016 – Operated as an inclusion project during summer and semester holidays (families with seriously ill children and unaffected families staying together under one roof)
- From 2025 – Exclusive retreat for four to five families with seriously ill children
Goals
- Opening the house to families with seriously ill young adults
- Gradual expansion into year-round operation
- Additional offers for bereaved parents – “Dare to Grieve” weeks
