Archway

The Archway is a small, very idyllic climbing area with routes of medium difficulty. But be careful: The routes can be challenging – anyone coming fresh from the gym should ideally start one grade lower and let the rock's character "take effect" on them. The routes are rated as rather "hard". After the acclimatization phase: a rewarding climbing area that offers sufficient challenges for a pleasant climbing day.

The approach follows a relatively newly established path, which is very well marked (orange sign "Climbing area Archway"). In 15 to 20 minutes it leads steeply, but not difficult, to the rock block. Those without time pressure can take the path with a bit more leisure, photograph flowers, enjoy the panorama, and admire the "fern forest". The area is suitable for children, but due to the climbing conditions (very compact rock), it might not be the best choice for small rock novices.

Note: In spring, autumn, and winter, particular attention must be paid to alpine hazards such as rockfall, ice fall, and avalanches. The approach and climbing are at one's own risk.
