Highlights: Perfect for a bike trailer, as the route is not too long and easy to ride. There are plenty of fun stops along the way, including an adventure playground, water games by the Ache river, the Kneipp facility & water games at the Salzbach, and the climbing garden Flämenwandl (great for watching).

Places to stop: Gasthaus Brücke with its own playground

2. To the Tillfussalm & Gaistalalm

Highlights: Particularly trailer-friendly due to moderate ascents and wide paths; ideal for hot days, as the route follows cool waters. Take a refreshing break at the Kneipp facility and enjoy the water games at the Salzbach, with two hut stops as a reward before heading back.

Places to stop: Tillfussalm and Gaistalalm

Tour: Bike tour to the Tillfussalm / Gaistalalm (starting from Leutasch Weidach via bike route No. 537 or from Salzbach parking lot P3-5). An optional detour to Hämmermoosalm is available.

ISAR ADVENTURE & STONE SKIPPING

3. To the Isar spring & Kastenalm

Highlights: Perfect for families, as the tour can be flexibly shortened at any point. Enjoy spectacular stops at the Isar spring for building Stoamandl (stone piles) and stone skipping, the nature adventure playground in Scharnitz, and the fascinating Holzerhütte Museum.

Important note: This tour is long, but it follows the cool waters of the Isar from Scharnitz, making it ideal for plenty of “cheerful breaks” when the little ones in the trailer need a rest.

Places to stop: Kastenalm, Café in der Länd, or Bodenalm (if starting from Seefeld)

Tour: Bike route No. 578 into the Hinterautal (starting from Scharnitz or Seefeld – note that the ride from Seefeld is significantly longer).
