Cancelled: "Krampus" Festival

IMPORTANT INFO

The Austrian Federal Government has announced new measures to control the Corona pandemic. As a result, the Krampus Festival can't take place.

According to ancient customs, the Krampus is considered a demonic horror figure who accompanies Saint Nicholas during Advent as an evil adversary and punishes naughty children with his birch rod. During the Seefeld Advent programme, the traditional Krampus parade provides a real creepy moment. Equipped with fur robes, bells and eerie wooden masks, the Krampus embody an ancient eerie tradition in Tyrol...

What causes one to shiver and sweat, makes the other feel happy. Daniel (Danny) White is one of the very few people who think of the Krampus Day with anticipation instead of fear. Even before he had really learned to walk, it was clear to him that he wanted to become a Krampus. Of course the question arises: Why? On blog.seefeld.com you can read more about this tradition.
