The Karwendel Nature Park is the largest nature park in Austria and the largest protected area in Tyrol, known for the Großer Ahornboden and the Isar spring. The latest expansion now also includes the Arnspitze nature reserve around Leutasch. The Nature Park's work focuses on nature conservation, recreation & tourism, environmental education and knowledge & research, but there is also a colourful programme of lectures and excursions at the Nature Park Info Centre in Scharnitz!
Programme on 04.09.2025:
In the lecture by Marina Ulrich from the Tyrolean Hunters' Association, the significance of large predators in Tyrol will be explained from a biological perspective. She provides insights into the biology and ecology of these animals and discusses how to handle encounters with them. The lecture offers nuanced perspectives and invites participants to better understand the various viewpoints and approaches regarding these animals, without polarizing any specific topic.
