Plenty of tradition, real customs and welcoming hosts: the festival of St Mary Magdalene attracts hundreds of visitors each year.

After the church service and subsequent festive procession Leutasch clubs and associations meet at the festival arena at the Alpenbad Leutasch at Weidach. A lively mixture of homemade farmers’ specialities, original dance music and friendly games make this church festival into an unforgettable experience.

The church day has its origins in the dedication of the church in the Upper Leutasch valley to St Mary Magdalene when it was first built in 1190 and again for the newly-constructed church in 1820.
