On the Traces of Historical Woodwork in the Karwendel Nature Park

Exciting journey through time on the traces of the woodworkers: In the 19th century, the wood felled in the Karwendel was "rafted" down the river to Scharnitz and was further processed there. The nature hike follows the woodworkers & rafters on impressive trails - initially at eye level with the wild stream - through the fascinating Gleirsch Gorge. Afterwards, it goes back to Scharnitz via the beautiful high forest path, where the tour concludes with a visit to the Holzerhütte Museum .
