Holiday with dogs in the Region Seefeld | Tyrol

The Region Seefeld, located at 1,200 metres above sea level, is fully prepared for guests travelling with dogs throughout the year. In the five villages – Seefeld, Leutasch, Mösern, Reith and Scharnitz – you will find hotels with dedicated dog services, dog-friendly guesthouses, holiday apartments and campsites that welcome four-legged companions. Hiking trails in the Region Seefeld can be used all year round: from spring to autumn on summer hiking paths, and in winter on cleared and signposted winter walking trails. During summer, several lakes and river sections offer refreshing opportunities for dogs to cool off. For off-leash exercise, the fenced Mooser dog meadow in Leutasch (available for exclusive booking) as well as the dog walking trail along the Leutascher Ache are available. Outside of these designated areas, dogs must be kept on a leash throughout the entire Region. Veterinary services, pet shops, a dog school and dog care services are available locally within the Region Seefeld.

Three important rules of conduct for dog owners

Dogs Must Be Kept on a Leash: Throughout the entire region, including all hiking trails, dogs must be kept on a leash. The only exceptions are the designated off-leash areas along the Leutascher Ache river and the Moos dog exercise area.

Disposing of Dog Faeces: Always collect dog faeces in a bag and dispose of it in the provided bins. Free dog waste bag dispensers and rubbish bins are available throughout the region.

Dogs Must Be Muzzled: On public transport dogs must wear a muzzle.
