Vacation with Dog in the Seefeld Region | Tyrol

The Seefeld region at an altitude of 1,200 m is geared towards guests with dogs all year round. In the five towns – Seefeld, Leutasch, Mösern, Reith, and Scharnitz – hotels with special dog services, dog-friendly guesthouses, holiday apartments, and campsites welcome four-legged companions. Hiking trails are accessible all year round: from spring to autumn on summer paths, in winter on cleared and signposted winter trails. In summer, several lakes and river sections offer a refreshing break. For off-leash exercise, the fenced, exclusively bookable Mooser dog exercise area in Leutasch, as well as the dog walking path along the Leutascher Ache, are available. Outside of these areas, a leash is required throughout the entire region. Veterinarians, pet shops, dog training schools, and dog care services are readily accessible on-site.

Three important rules for dog owners

Leash requirement: A leash is required throughout the region in the terrain and on all hiking paths. Exceptions are the Dog off-leash area along the Leutascher Ache and the Mooser dog off-leash area.

Dispose of dog waste: Always collect the dog waste in a bag and dispose of it in the designated trash bins. Free dog waste bag dispensers and trash bins are available throughout the region.

Muzzle requirement: Dogs must wear a muzzle on public transport.
