Chapels
The Lehner Chapel, or Veitl Chapel, was built in 1721 and dedicated to the Seven Sorrows of Mary. With space for around 30 people and a bell tower, it is one of the largest chapels in the Leutaschtal.
The altar painting depicts the dolorous Mother of God with seven swords. To the left of the chapel is a fresco of the former Tyrolean patron saint, St. George, the dragon slayer, and to the right, St. Martin, who shares his cloak with a beggar. The altar painting is surrounded by seven emblems representing scenes from the life of Jesus: the circumcision of Jesus, the flight into Egypt, 12-year-old Jesus in the temple, the carrying of the cross, Jesus on the cross, and the entombment of Jesus. Three Baroque angels are grouped around the altar. The ceiling painting represents the Assumption of Mary, while the ceiling medallion displays the Holy Trinity and Mary Immaculata. On the side walls, there are depictions of this chapel and the plague chapel in Weidach.
Even on the outside, a painting shows the flight of Jesus into Egypt. The artist appears to be Joseph Degenhart. The previous blue coloring was changed during the last renovation in 1984.
