Support for tourism businesses
Many businesses will need to be handed over in the coming years as the baby boomer generation retires. To facilitate the transfer process, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism has launched a targeted funding initiative of up to 3 million euros until 2027. From now on, small and medium-sized tourism businesses in communities with fewer than 30,000 inhabitants will receive a flat-rate funding of 8,000 euros for the creation of a professional business plan by a licensed consulting firm. The funding is granted once and processed digitally through the platform of Agrarmarkt Austria (AMA) – for the details.
Private landlord funding
For small landlords, there is an support opportunity within the framework of the Tyrolean private landlord promotion and support for small commercial accommodation businesses.
The essential funding requirements are as follows:
- max. 10 beds for private landlords and max. 20 beds for commercial accommodation businesses
- continuous rental period of at least 10 years until the application is submitted for measures in the accommodations
- minimum usable area of 20 m² (18 m²) for measures in guest rooms and 35 m² for measures in holiday apartments/apartments
Requirements/regulations can be found in the funding guidelines and the funding application. It is particularly emphasized that applications should be submitted in a timely manner before the start of measures (delivery, service, down payment, etc.).

Allergen Information Regulation
All entrepreneurs who offer unpackaged food are required under the Allergen Information Regulation to inform consumers about allergenic ingredients in their products! The obligation to inform can be fulfilled in Austria either through written labeling on menus or orally by trained employees.

Package Tour Regulations
Action "Trail Usage Included":
In order not to fall under the package travel law, we recommend you the following wording (if you are promoting the trail bed campaign): On-site you have the possibility to receive a free trail ticket from us, which allows you to use the trails of the Seefeld region for the duration of your stay. Services with the regional guest card and experience shop:
If your website or the offer does not combine the accommodation with the guest card, but only links to the experience shop or points out the issuance/addition of services on-site, the package travel law will not be affected. Please use the following wording recommendation: On-site, you have the possibility to acquire your PlateauCard free of charge, with which you can participate in the experience program of the Seefeld region exclusively or at a significantly reduced price. Registration/addition is possible directly on-site at our establishment or at one of the information offices.
If you would like to promote our experience shop, it would always represent a targeted brokering (connected travel service), and therefore, among other things, the pre-contractual information obligations would need to be adhered to. Simply stating a reference to our experience shop on the website or in the offer to the guest, or linking to it, does not affect the package travel law - just no combination of accommodation services with a reference to bookable program points in the experience shop may occur.

EmpCo Policy – Communicating Sustainability Correctly
As of September 27, 2026, new regulations for environmental and sustainability claims will apply. Terms such as "sustainable," "climate-friendly," "ecological," "green," or "environmentally friendly" can no longer be used indiscriminately, but must be specifically explained and, if necessary, substantiated by verifiable facts, data, or recognized certifications. This applies to all communication channels – from websites and social media to brochures and offers, as well as meta descriptions, images, symbols, and review comments.
We therefore recommend that you review existing content early and replace general claims with concrete information.
