Kick-off of an impressive anniversary run

This morning, the long-awaited day finally arrived: The Ganghoferlauf in Leutasch celebrated its 50th anniversary! After 49 successful editions, there was great joy as the round anniversary drew near. The organizers, the Seefeld Tourism Association and the Leutasch Ski Club, are proud that the Seefeld region attracted more than 500 Ganghoferlauf athletes and nearly 200 junior racers to the Leutasch Valley.

Thanks to the optimal location of the Leutasch Valley, which opens to the west, the classic events of the legendary Ganghoferlauf took place on the original course. The snowfall in the days leading up to the event also had a very positive impact on the course preparations. Thus, the organizational committee was very pleased!

Participants – mostly from Germany and Austria – were also looking forward to a successful "Classic Day." At 9:00 a.m., the participants in the 25 and 50 km distances started the race. With excitement, the participants made their way through the picturesque yet challenging trails of Leutasch.
