Experience spring actively

Spring has also arrived in the mountains, with warming sun rays and blooming meadows announcing the mountain summer. Therefore, Monika and Hans Bantl, together with the Seefeld Tourism Association, invite you to the 18th Leutasch Mountain Spring Days from June 2 to June 8, 2024. During the daily hikes, you can experience the blooming of nature with all your senses and learn a lot of exciting things about Tyrol's high plateau and its diversity of species.

The "Mountain Spring Days" have a long tradition in Leutasch and have always aimed to inspire both guests and locals about the nature of the Seefeld region and its treasures. Today, as environmental awareness and biodiversity are on everyone's lips, their importance is greater than ever. Hans and Monika, who accompany the week, have always led a life in harmony with their homeland. Above all, Hans is keen to raise awareness among the people around him. This year, the native of Leutasch addresses the significance and benefits of lush flower meadows, which serve both as habitats and food sources for numerous insects and small animals, the impacts of climate change on local flora and fauna, as well as Tyrolean wild orchids in the Leutaschtal.

The information is embedded in hikes and is mostly accompanied by a cozy refreshment break. The culinary highlights include the breakfast "in merry morning hour" (Tuesday, 04.06.2024) and the visit to the Hämmermoosalm (Friday, 07.06.2024), where the culinary delight rewards the ascent. All planned hikes are generally manageable for everyone; those who are uncertain can find competent advice from Monika, Hans, or the Leutasch Information Office.

For the breakfast "in merry morning hour" (Tuesday, 04.06.2024), registration is required, and an additional contribution of 20 euros will be charged. On the other days, it is enough to be punctual at the respective meeting point. "We are really looking forward to the hikes and our guests," says Monika. She has no favorite in this year's program. "Every day is something special and also depends on the composition of the group." Surely, some regular guests will be there again. However, Monika and Hans also want to invite all locals and residents from the surrounding area to take a day to discover their homeland anew.

The tourism association is also pleased when not only guests take advantage of the offer. The "Mountain Spring Days" fit into the increasingly practiced "Genuinely Sustainable" strategy of the region. "Every local who actively learns to know and appreciate our biodiversity is an important partner for its protection and thus for the region and our common future," says Elias Walser, Managing Director of TVB Seefeld.
