Real legends on the Seefeld green

They have already played in the biggest stadiums in the world and won everything there is to win in the world of football. Last Tuesday, they conquered the immaculate grass of Seefeld. We are talking about the FC Bayern Legends. Roy Makaay, Paulo Sergio, and many other great masters of the game showed against the MAN All-Stars that one never really forgets how to play football.

They may not be the fastest anymore and they no longer play to sold-out crowds. However, they have never lost their feel for the ball and finesse in their feet. Makaay, Sergio, Elber, Pizarro, and all the others have jointly won countless Bundesliga championships and have been Champions League winners multiple times. Even World Champions can be found among the ranks of the Bayern Legends. Against the picturesque backdrop of Seefeld, they showed where these successes come from. The MAN selection was outsmarted and outplayed time and again.

Despite the overwhelming superiority of FCB, the performance of the MAN selection was truly commendable. Many times, it became dangerous in front of Bayern's goal. However, the respect for the great stars of the past was evident in the players. So shortly before the end, the score was 15:0 for the team in red.

Also, because the MAN selection managed to score a consolation goal to make it 15:1 in the last minutes, the mood among the defeated opponents was nevertheless excellent. After the final whistle, everyone could celebrate a successful afternoon together. The fans enjoyed what they saw, and there was still time for a few autographs or selfies. In the end, one can conclude: Top-level sports belong in Seefeld just like FC Bayern belongs to the Champions League. But even those who prefer a more relaxed approach fully enjoy themselves on the high plateau. Both qualities were perfectly demonstrated that day.

I was here last year too, and in this slightly more relaxed game, you can enjoy the surroundings even more than, for example, back in the Champions League."
