Press Release – Sounding Leutaschtal

Late summer vibes, clear Tyrolean mountain air, and songs that sound even more beautiful when sung together: From August 27 to 29, 2026, the Leutaschtal will once again become a meeting point for all who love to hike, sing, and experience nature together.

Under the motto "Sung and Hiked", easy hikes, alpine songs, and special insights into the nature of the Leutaschtal combine on the high plateau. Accompanied by choir leader and voice trainer Vinzenz Arnold, songs from the alpine region will be sung in a relaxed atmosphere, along with the learning of new melodies. Monika and Hans Bantl will enhance the hikes with their knowledge of the flora and fauna of the Leutaschtal, ensuring a connection to the landscape. A songbook provided to all participants will include the appropriate lyrics along the way. The harmony of nature and song creates a truly special feeling and makes this event a must for all who wish to connect the sound of nature with their own singing.

Thursday, 27.08.2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Meeting point: 9:45 AM, parking lot at the Hotel Quellenhof, Weidach
Easy hike around Weidachsee. New songs will be tried out in various spots. Lunch will be served in the Weidach room.

Friday, 28.08.2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Meeting point: 9:45 AM, Parking Lot Salzbach in Gaistal (P5)
Joint hike to Hämmermoosalm. Fine songs will be sung on the Alm and the Alm grounds, with a wonderful view of the Wetterstein mountain range and Hohe Munde. There will be refreshments on the Alm accompanied by music from the "Huangartler".

Saturday, 29.08.2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Meeting point: 9:45 AM, Parking Lot at Kirchplatzl in front of the parish church of St. Magdalena
Easy hike to the meadows above the districts of Klamm and Plaik. Among other places, the "Schneiderliasn" chapel will be visited, located on the Camino de Santiago from Bavaria to the Inn valley. The singing and hiking days will officially end with a stop at the Jausenalm on the larch slope before returning to the starting point revitalized.

Bad weather alternative: In case of bad weather, there is the possibility to sing at the music pavilion in Weidach. Small hikes around Weidachsee will also be offered here.

Participation & Registration:
Contribution: € 60,- for three days (including accompaniment, choir director, songbook).
Single days: € 25,- per person.
