Experience the region from an eagle's perspective: Paragliding is a really unique adventure. Far above the rooftops in the valley, you glide weightlessly through the air and enjoy views and a rush of happiness like never before.
A tandem flight makes the dream of flying come true. Together with experienced professionals, you soar through the air like a bird. Those who dare to fly for the first time are amazed at how relaxed and uncomplicated such an experience is.
Tandem flight over the region
Seefeld and the world from above: if you want to make this wish come true, the two paragliding flight schools in the region are just right for you. With experienced professionals, you fly from the Rosshütte - either from the mountain Härmelekopf or the Seefelder Joch, depending on the thermals and conditions - from around 2060m into the valley. Views as far as the Zugspitze (Germany's highest mountain) and Italy are guaranteed, as are pure feelings of happiness!
For a tandem flight you don't need any previous experience. Just bring good shoes and suitable clothing (warm jacket, gloves depending on the season, etc.). The minimum weight for a tandem flight is 20kg, there is no upper age limit. This makes the flight a real holiday experience for everyone, which will be remembered fondly forever!
Because when the last countdown is done, you run together towards the valley until you are suddenly floating in the air many metres above the ground, it is a feeling of freedom that you have never experienced before.
For experienced flyers: Hike and Fly in the Olympiaregion
Experienced paragliders also appreciate the good thermals in the region. You can fly freely on the plateau, the only exception is the Karwendel Nature Parc.
The Rosshütte above Seefeld is particularly popular; thanks to the cable car and the Härmelekopfbahn, you can easily get to the take-off point. Depending on the conditions, you can take off from Seefelder Joch (2060 m) or Härmelekopf (2050m) and land on the landing area next to the Golf Club Seefeld Reith. Caution: turbulent take-off conditions prevail at the Rosshütte in northerly winds, and caution is also advised with regard to the ropes of the gondolas and high-voltage power lines at the landing site.
Beginners are also in the right place on the Gschwandtkopf in Seefeld, the gentle slopes of Seefeld's local mountain are ideal for first exercises and flight experience. The cable car can be used as an ascent aid.
Experienced pilots appreciate the Wetterstein Mountains and the Gaistal valley with numerous popular take-off sites for hike and fly tours, where you can enjoy unique views in the shadow of the Zugspitze.
The plateau around Seefeld is close to the controlled flight area (Inntal), valley flights and crossings are strictly prohibited.
Paragliding is one of the best ways to discover the mountain world from above. Once your feet leave the steady ground you are already flying towards an incredible adventure. The unique view on the mighty mountain formations amid a dreamlike natural scenery is worth a flight into the air.
