at the source of the Isar

source area

Timidly, small streams of water make their way through the rock and bubble sparkling over sticks and stones. Soon they find each other, unite and become stronger. Downstream through the original mountain landscapes of the Karwendel massif, the water tells its story: It is turquoise blue and crystal clear, icy cold and genuine. For many years, this liquid treasure seeps through the ancient rocks of the Alps, getting filtered thousands of times along the way, enriched with minerals and greeting thirsty hikers at the source of the Isar with delicious Alpine freshness.

The symphony of the Isar springs was recorded in the Hinterautal of the Karwendel Nature Park. Here, the water bubbles with countless voices through the wild beauty of nature. At times it gurgles bright and fresh, and elsewhere it rises to a powerful roar. With primal force, it carves its way through original rocky landscapes and dense spruce, fir, and beech forests. One pauses, closes their eyes and finally arrives. A concert of deep peace and relaxation that draws new strength at the source of life.
