The beautiful natural toboggan run Rauthhütte overcomes a height difference of 420 metres on a challenging route of about three kilometres. The ascent is easy to reach from the Rauthhütte car park in the Moos district, is well signposted and takes about an hour to reach the cosy Rauthhütte (1605 m) via a few challenging passages. Here you can warm yourself in one of the two traditional oven rooms by the crackling fireplace and let your hosts spoil you with genuine Tyrolean home-style cooking and regional delicacies. Dogs and other pets are also welcome! On clear days, you can see far across the Inn valley from above, the Zugspitze shines from the north and the Zillertal Alps far to the south.
For particularly sociable evenings, the Rauthhütte also has plenty of places to spend the night, while the narrow natural toboggan run takes everyone else back down into the valley on a racy descent. Attention: Even for experienced tobogganers this toboggan run is a challenge - good (brake) shoes and safe handling of the toboggan are absolutely necessary! Since the course of the track also crosses steep ski slopes in some places, you have to be considerate of other winter sports enthusiasts when going downhill! For children, beginners and family excursions we recommend the toboggan run at Katzenkopf - on the opposite side of the valley.
