The stately refuge in the Reintal valley has been standing since 1883, is still managed today and is considered one of the most beautiful places in the Wetterstein mountains. Surrounded by imposing rock faces with spectacular climbing routes, the traditional house nestles in the mountains above the Partnachklamm gorge and offers a popular place to stop for families, mountaineers and biking guests during the summer months.

The rocky landscape at 1,369 metres above sea level resembles a high alpine adventure playground (with an alpine spring at the crystal-clear mountain stream) and makes not only children's hearts beat faster. The challenging but family-friendly climb through the Reintal can also be combined with an overnight stay in the DAV refuge at the head of the valley with a spectacular ascent of the Zugspitze - the trail from the Reintalangerhütte is considered the most comfortable ascent to the highest mountain in Germany and Austria. A technically challenging tour to the Hochanger is also possible from the Reintalangerhütte. The two warm-hearted hut keepers Robert and Andy look after their guests with dedication and are also happy to provide hiking tips and recommendations. Dogs and other pets are only welcome on request.
