On the way to the Schlossbachklamm at the border between Leithen and Zirl, there has been a wayside shrine with a beautifully carved Madonna image since time immemorial. After 1900, the wooden memorial started to decay. The young farmers of Leithen erected the current pillar for "Our Lady" at this location. Unfortunately, the Madonna with Child was stolen in 1972. The replacement piece that can be seen today was made by Johannes Obleitner.
