For a long time, laying a path through the gorge seemed impossible. In addition to the steep terrain, rockfalls, landslides and floods had to be taken into account. The secure and beautiful path you are standing on now was
constructed with a combination of steel trusses and bridge abutments. Overall, the trail is 875 metres long and weighs 68 tonnes.

From summer 2023, the Spirit Gorge is sure to delight visitors of all ages with its new lay-out. A total of 25 new stations and panels were erected for this purpose.
