Thanks to numerous small lakes, streams, and gorges, as well as the rivers Isar and Leutascher Ache, cool water options are also abundant.

Whether by bike, on foot, or comfortably by cable car and bus, everyone finds the right way to explore the mountain world in the Seefeld region. Sporty enthusiasts are drawn to the peaks of Karwendel and Wetterstein, onto mountain bikes, to the bike park at Leutascher Katzenkopf, on the panoramic climbing path at Seefelder Spitze, or directly into one of the four climbing gardens. For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, renting an e-bike, strolling along gentle valley paths across the high plateau, or choosing the Gaistal Alpine Paradise are excellent options. To stop for a bite, around 50 rustic huts in the region await, treating guests to local specialties like Kaiserschmarrn and cheese dumplings. Cooked with love and often using milk, eggs, yogurt, and cheese from their own production, they taste even better. If you can't get enough of the alpine atmosphere, some huts on the high plateau even offer overnight stays – breathtaking starry skies, soothing silence, and extra fresh mountain air included!

Water: From Swimming Pools to Streams
Summer refreshment in the region can also be very classic. The Seefeld Adventure Pool and the Leutasch Alpine Pool offer splash areas, water slides, and playgrounds for family fun. The Strandperle Outdoor Pool at Wildsee combines a swimming pool with a natural lake and also includes pedal boat and SUP rentals. For a more natural experience, the Möserer See or the numerous streams provide pristine cooling. In the Gleirsch and Geisterklamm, you can even combine these experiences with impressive hikes – information boards will take you into the mystical world of water goblins and gorge spirits.

Natural Paradise Karwendel Nature Park
With the Gleirsch Gorge, you are in the heart of the Karwendel Nature Park, which also includes the source of the Isar. But it is not only the waters that make a visit to Austria's largest natural park a special experience. The park's special topography provides an above-average proportion of natural habitats, featuring primal forests and wild rivers, and is home to many species of significant European fauna and flora, such as the golden eagle, the white-backed woodpecker, and the highly endangered women's shoe orchid. Nature lovers will surely find their paradise here and can also quench their thirst for knowledge at the information and visitor center in Scharnitz. However, those seeking special athletic challenges will quickly find what they're looking for in Karwendel. There's the traditional Karwendel March, which every year at the end of August pushes 2,500 trail runners and hikers to their limits, and the Karwendel High Trail, which leads over the ridges and peaks of the nature park from hut to hut in six days.

Nature and sports are at the center of many Seefeld vacationers' experiences, but connoisseurs will also find what their heart desires in the region. From Michelin-starred restaurants to the vibrant pedestrian zone of Seefeld with its bars and small shops, to diverse events like the White Night or the Night of Classics. Why sit in traffic on the highway when the train can take you quickly and eco-friendly to Seefeld Station, where six coordinated bus lines await to conveniently take you to every corner of the high plateau? In local transportation, the "Plateau Card" serves as a ticket. The guest card is either issued by the landlord upon arrival or activated digitally in advance.
