What is Team Plateau about?
With the Plateau Team, a permanent, open network is being created that brings together people from all Plateau communities. Whether committed locals, people from tourism, or municipal politics – everyone who wants to contribute can have their say and co-design. From past projects, we know: When we work together, great things happen. That's exactly what we want to continue for the entire region – open, honest, and on equal footing.

Team Plateau Kick-off Event
We would like to sincerely thank the approximately 80 locals who accepted our invitation to the Team Plateau Kick-off event on October 6, 2025. After an exciting presentation by Marlene Buchinger on the topic "Designing our living space together: Small steps – big impact", the participants developed many great ideas related to the five action areas and prioritized them afterwards. The moderation and facilitation of the evening were provided by Kohl & Partner. The ideas and results of the evening can be viewed here. Further information on the next steps will be continuously communicated on this page as well as via newsletter to all Team Plateau members. Experience E-Mobility: Myths, Everyday Life & Test Drive | September 25, 2026
With the transition of the entire public transport system to electric buses, an important step towards sustainable mobility has been achieved at the Seefeld Plateau. We would like to seize this opportunity and take a practical look at what E-Mobility can already deliver in everyday life today – from public transportation to car-sharing and owning an electric car.
On September 25 starting at 5:00 PM, the focus at the Arena365 in Seefeld will be on the question of how practical E-Mobility really is today. In a compact round, common myths about electric driving will be addressed, possibilities of car-sharing and E-Mobility will be presented, and personal experiences from 10 years of electric car use will be shared. Following the short presentations, there will be an opportunity for a test drive with an electric car.

Reither Moor becomes part of LIFE AMooRe – Volunteers wanted | September 26 & 27, 2026
The Reither Moor is included in the nationwide project LIFE AMooRe – Austrian Moor Restoration. The aim of the project is to better protect moors in Austria and to make their significance for nature, climate and biodiversity visible. To ensure the long-term preservation of the Reither Moor, practical care is also needed on-site. Therefore, we are looking for volunteer helpers to carry out minor tasks in the moor together with experts. Planned activities include maintenance and restoration measures such as manually removing emerging shrubs with pruning shears.

Fighting neophytes together
During the summer, several action days for combating invasive neophytes took place in the region, many of them organized in Leutasch, Scharnitz, and Seefeld, some even across municipalities. For example, around the Seefelder Wildsee, two action days were carried out where unwanted plant populations were specifically removed.
The practical efforts were an important first step. Now, professional follow-up work is taking place: The University of Innsbruck is mapping the neophyte locations in the region, thus creating an important basis for further action. Based on this survey, a common strategy will be developed for the coming year to plan and implement measures more effectively.
A big thank you goes to all the volunteers who participated with great dedication during the action days this season. Only together can we succeed in protecting our native biodiversity in the long term and containing problematic plant populations.
Future cooperation with the Seefeld Middle School
Our children are our future, and therefore they should also help shape our plans and strategies. Against this background, the TVB and the Seefeld Middle School are embarking on a premiere and working more closely together in the school year 25/26. Managing Director Elias Walser and Sustainability Coordinator Michaela Kraler presented the importance of tourism, the TVB, and our sustainability strategy at the teachers' conference in early November 2025. Kraler then conducted a lesson on "TVB & Sustainability" in all 4th grade classes, as well as an open house day at the TVB in March 2026. The conclusion for this school year is a "Design Jam" within the Team Plateau framework, where the young people will present their vision of Tyrol's high plateau of the future. Past Projects and Actions
Nature in Change | July 4, 2026
At the beginning of July, a half-day hike through the Karwendel Gorge in Scharnitz invited participants to observe the impacts of climate change on local nature up close. The focus was on alpine wild rivers, mountain forests, rocks, and gorges, as well as visible changes in sensitive natural areas. The offer was aimed at members of Team Plateau and local residents of the Seefeld region. Besides expert insights, the hike provided an opportunity for personal exchanges, mutual acquaintance, and the development of shared thoughts around nature, climate, and regional responsibility.
The group was accompanied by Hermann Sonntag, a biologist, mountain hiking guide, nature guide, and climate educator. With his expertise and hands-on observations, he vividly conveyed how climatic changes are already noticeable in the alpine landscape today.
Nature-oriented Gardening | May 13, 2026
When flowers bloom in spring, the longing for a beautiful garden grows. Even at 1200 meters with barren soils and snow in May, not much effort is needed. This is what the gardening members of Team Plateau learned at the beginning of May. Franz Staudinger and Marianne Enthofer demonstrated how a low-maintenance, nature-oriented garden with climate-adapted beds can be created. The Ganghofer Museum provided the model areas as hosts, which were eventually sown with the treasures from the local seed library. A thank you goes out to everyone who participated. We are already looking forward to the first blooming!
Cleaned Up | April 28, 2026
The sun, snowmelt, and the first flower meadows are making Tyrol's high plateau look particularly beautiful right now. To really remove all the unsightly remnants of winter, you and we came to the aid of nature last week. During the annual Clean Up Challenge, 880 kilograms of garbage were collected and properly disposed of through the local service yards. Thanks to all the diligent helpers!
Arena365 Insights – Leadership and Behind the Scenes for the Local Community | March 5, 2026
Last Friday, around 25 locals took the opportunity to peek behind the scenes of Arena365 during the Open Arena Day. The jump area was visited in two groups, and participants even got to handle a rifle at the biathlon stand. The interest of the attendees was high, and they were impressed by the athletic performances of the jumpers and biathletes. In a cozy atmosphere, they exchanged ideas with Managing Director Elias Walser and our product development head Michaela Kraler regarding plans and ideas for the future of the arena.
