Details

The circular tour on the Seefeld high plateau starts at the Informationszentrum Seefeld right next to the Bahnhof. Follow the Möserer Landesstraße towards Mösern to reach Mösern after a short climb. A 3.8 km descent follows via the Telfer Berg; at the second left-hand bend, however, turn right onto Buchener Straße (towards Buchen/Leutasch). After a climb of approx. 380 vertical meters, the highest point in Buchen is reached. Afterwards, the route goes downhill again, surrounded by forests on both sides, to Moos and on to Platzl. The high plateau opens up and you have a wonderful panoramic view of the Hohe Munde to the east, the Wettersteingebirge to the north and the Arnspitzgruppe to the west. The tour continues through Leutasch Weidach and then through the Leutaschtal towards the Leutaschklamm. A winding and narrow section of road follows above the Leutascher Geisterklamm to the national border.

Tip

  • For those in need of a quick refreshment: Just before the gorge bridge in the district of Schanz (Leutascher Geisterklamm[TM1] ), you can take a short break to cool off by the Leutascher Ache. Alternatively, the many restaurants along the route also invite you to take a rest!

  • On busy days - for the way back from Mittenwald to Leutasch: instead of cycling on the main road towards Scharnitz, take the same path back to Leutasch (via the Leutascher Geisterklamm). In Weidach, follow the road to Neuleutasch.
