Directions:

From the Stupfer parking lot in Gaistal, the trail first climbs steeply for about 400 m to trail no. 9, which you now follow to the Waldsteig junction. Here you can decide whether to continue on trail no. 9 or to take the steeper trail on the left hand side to the Wettersteinhütte or to the Wangalm. On the way, the forest repeatedly opens up panoramic passages with views of the surrounding mountain peaks and the Hohe Munde.Via the "Wurziger Steig",  at the Wettersteinhütte, you reach the Hämmermoosalm and hike from there back to the starting point.
